Bad domain advertising

I use GoDaddy to register my domains.  I got an email from them stating that they are having a sale on .name domains, for $5.95 per year.  In their form email, they state:

Now you can put www.westbrook.name On the ‛Net

Westbrook Name Offer

I thought that it would be cool to get that domain, so I went on their site to attempt to register it.  When I tried, I got a message stating that the domain is already been taken.

When I checked the registration, I noticed that it was registered through GoDaddy.

First of all, I would have thought that GoDaddy would have checked to see if the name was available before they tried to sell it.

When I checked out this web site, they wanted people to bid on the domain.  Their minimum bid for a domain is $100. I am not going to give them my money.
