Roborock S7 and Home Assistant Integration

When it comes to keeping your home clean, there's no denying that robotic vacuums have become an increasingly popular option. They're powerful, efficient, and convenient, allowing you to keep your floors spotless with minimal effort on your part. But if you're looking for a robotic vacuum that truly stands out from the rest, then look no further than the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra Robot Vacuum and Mop.

The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is the latest addition to the Roborock family of robotic vacuums, and it's packed with features that are sure to make it one of the best options on the market. The first thing you'll notice about the S7 MaxV is its advanced navigation system. Using laser navigation technology, the S7 MaxV can create a precise map of your home, allowing it to navigate and clean every nook and cranny with ease. It also has advanced obstacle detection, so it can easily avoid furniture and other objects in its path. This means that the S7 MaxV can clean your home more efficiently and thoroughly than many other robotic vacuums.

But the S7 MaxV isn't just good at navigating your home - it's also incredibly powerful. With a suction power of 2000Pa, it can easily pick up dirt, dust, and even pet hair, leaving your floors spotless. And with a high-efficiency filter that captures 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, it's a great option for homes with allergies and asthma.

But what sets the S7 MaxV apart from other robotic vacuums is its mopping capabilities. The S7 MaxV comes with a mopping system that can be filled with water and a cleaning solution, as well as a mopping pad. This means that as the S7 MaxV vacuums your floors, it can also mop them, leaving them spotless and shiny. And with the ability to set a mopping schedule, you can customize the S7 MaxV to clean your floors exactly when you want them to.

Of course, the S7 MaxV also offers smart home integration, which means you can control and schedule the cleaning using the Roborock app on your smartphone, as well as voice commands via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. With the ability to set virtual boundaries and no-go zones, you can customize the S7 MaxV's cleaning schedule to fit your specific needs.

While integrating with the voice assistants is quite easy, integrating the Roborock S7 with Home Assistant isn't that straightforward.  From the integration page, I discovered that the Roborock integrations go through Xiaomi Miio's service.  Unfortunately, the vacuum can only connect to a single service, so I would need to remove the device from the Roborock account, to connect it to the Miio service.  Since the Google Assistant integration uses the Roborock service, and I want to continue to use the Roborock app, I will not do this integration.  I will look to see if there is an API that I can use to implement the integration myself.

In the meantime, I may use Home Assistant's ability to send Google Assistant commands to control the vacuum.  This would allow me to start it from Home Assistant (where I can use Home Assistant's automations to implement scheduling), but it doesn't seem like I would be able to get information about the state of the vacuum.

Even without Home Assistant integration, the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra Robot Vacuum and Mop is an incredibly advanced robot vacuum that offers a wealth of features that are sure to make your life easier. Whether you're looking to keep your home spotless or simply want to make cleaning a little bit easier, the S7 MaxV is sure to impress.
