Mailplane looks like a cool application that integrates Gmail into a Mac OS X application.  This application uses Webkit, for displaying the Gmail interface.

One down side of  Mailplane, you can only access your mail when you are connected to the network.  Though, one benefit is that you don't have to worry about synchronizing filters or labels between the web interface and
