The logs below illustrate the unexpected mDNS queries they generated:

1. Query for Airplay Devices

12 0.788177995 192.168.55.11 → 224.0.0.251 MDNS 130 Standard query 0x0000 PTR _airplay._tcp.local, "QM" question PTR Hubitat._hubitat._tcp.local

2. Query for web servers:
14 0.791018733 192.168.55.11 → 224.0.0.251 MDNS 127 Standard query 0x0000 PTR _http._tcp.local, "QM" question PTR Hubitat._hubitat._tcp.local

Surprisingly, the Hubitat devices were seeking Airplay and web server devices, even though I only utilized them for Z-Wave and Zigbee devices, and have not installed the Airplay application. This behavior caused issues, as the queries and responses were transmitted across VLANs, leading to a flood of broadcast packets during high query volumes.

To address this, I opted to move the Hubitat devices to a VLAN where mDNS queries aren't forwarded to the other networks. The process was straightforward: I changed the native VLANs on the ports connected to the Hubitat devices and updated the Hubitat integration configuration in Home Assistant to reflect the new IP address.

However, after the move, I encountered integration issues. While toggling controls in Home Assistant affected device states, the updated state didn't reflect back into Home Assistant. The key difference between the old and new VLANs was that the latter didn't allow incoming connections to the Home Assistant server's VLAN.

To resolve this, I adjusted the firewall rules to permit incoming connections from the Hubitat's IP address to the Home Assistant server. Following this update, everything began functioning correctly.

Paulhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11459304710362963053noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8928198048296063917.post-31308266274743188472024-03-01T07:00:00.000-08:002024-03-01T07:00:00.137-08:00Dazzling DIY Hexagonal LED Accent: A Budget-Friendly Alternative to Nanoleaf Lights with WLED Magic!

I recently completed a wood hexagonal accent piece with LED backlighting for my office. My inspiration was the Nanoleaf hex lights, but I aimed to achieve a similar look without incurring the high cost associated with Nanoleaf lights. Additionally, I saw this as an opportunity to explore and learn about WLED.

To start, I sourced hexagonal wood panels in multiple tones. I deliberately chose multiple-tone panels to ensure the accent piece looked appealing even when the lights were off.

Unlike Nanoleaf panels, my wooden panels don't allow light to shine through. Therefore, I planned to position the LEDs to shine out the top, bottom, and sides of the panels. This necessitated offsetting the panels from the wall to provide space for mounting the LED strips behind the hex panels.

To achieve this, I opted for aluminum U-track to offset the panels. I cut the tracks into smaller pieces and assembled them into hexagonal shapes, each about 3 inches smaller than the wood panels. These aluminum hex panels were then connected using flat steel bars that I had predrilled with holes. This design not only allowed me to create the desired pattern but also added rigidity. In hindsight, I may have gone overboard with the steel bars. Subsequently, I glued the wood panels to the hexagonal aluminum frames.

For the lighting, I selected a WS2811 12-volt LED strip. I cut the strip to fit around each aluminum hexagonal frame and soldered wires between each length of the LED strip.

Next, I connected the LED strip to an ESP32 controller with WLED installed. This setup allows me to choose different lighting effects and integrate the accent piece with Home Assistant.

While the project was enjoyable, there are a few things I would do differently if I were to undertake it again. Firstly, I would choose a different material for the frames, as using U-track proved time-consuming. A simpler alternative like jar lids might be more efficient. Secondly, I would opt for a different material instead of the flat steel bars, as they were challenging to cut, and the holes were too large for my needs, requiring the use of washers for proper attachment.

Paulhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11459304710362963053noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8928198048296063917.post-34804156224763065682024-02-26T07:00:00.000-08:002024-02-26T07:00:00.144-08:00Empowering Privacy: Unveiling the World of Affordable VPNs through Shared Bandwidth Projects and Proxmox Efficiency

In an era where digital privacy is a growing concern, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) have become indispensable tools for safeguarding online activities. However, the cost of premium VPN services can be a deterrent for many users. Fortunately, a new wave of projects that leverage shared user bandwidth has emerged, offering a cost-effective alternative to traditional VPNs. In this blog post, we'll explore the benefits of such projects and discuss how setting them up as Linux containers on a Proxmox server can be a resource-efficient solution.

Shared Bandwidth VPN Projects:

Mysterium

Mysterium is a decentralized VPN network that operates on a peer-to-peer model. Users can share their excess bandwidth in exchange for MYST tokens. By becoming a node in the Mysterium network, users contribute to the overall infrastructure and, in return, gain access to affordable VPN services. Setting up Mysterium nodes as Proxmox Linux containers ensures efficient resource utilization and easy management. I set this up following the instructions for Linux nodes.

Mysterium setup

EarnApp
EarnApp takes a unique approach by allowing users to earn money by sharing their internet bandwidth. Users can convert their earned tokens into VPN services, creating an innovative system where the community contributes to the network's growth. Proxmox's virtualization capabilities make it straightforward to deploy and manage EarnApp nodes, making it an attractive option for those seeking a low-cost VPN solution.

EarnApp setup

PacketStream
PacketStream transforms users' idle bandwidth into a valuable resource. By installing the PacketStream client, users become part of a global proxy network. Other users can then route their internet traffic through these nodes, compensating the providers with credits that can be exchanged for VPN services. Leveraging Proxmox to set up PacketStream nodes ensures efficient resource allocation and easy scalability.

PacketStream setup

Honeygain
Honeygain is another notable player in the shared bandwidth landscape. By connecting to the Honeygain network, users can share their internet connection and earn credits, which can be redeemed for PayPal cash or gift cards. The platform emphasizes simplicity and user-friendliness, making it accessible to a wide audience.

Honeygain setup

Benefits of Using Shared Bandwidth VPNs:

Cost-Effective
Shared bandwidth VPNs offer a more affordable alternative to traditional VPN services. Users can leverage their excess bandwidth to access VPN services without the need for a hefty subscription fee.

Community-Powered
These projects foster a sense of community by allowing users to actively contribute to the network. By sharing bandwidth, users not only benefit from affordable VPN services but also play a role in the project's success.

Resource Efficiency with Proxmox
Setting up these VPN projects as Linux containers on a Proxmox server provides a resource-efficient solution. Proxmox's container-based virtualization allows for optimal use of server resources, making it an ideal platform for hosting decentralized VPN nodes.

Privacy and Security
Shared bandwidth VPNs maintain the core principles of traditional VPNs, ensuring privacy and security for users. The decentralized nature of these networks adds an extra layer of protection against potential threats. In addition, using Proxmox allows these containers to be created on a specific VLAN, which is restricted to only outgoing network connections, preventing the containers from connecting to other devices on our network.

Conclusion
As the demand for affordable VPN solutions continues to rise, projects that leverage shared user bandwidth present a compelling option. By setting up these projects as Linux containers on a Proxmox server, users can enjoy the benefits of cost-effective and community-powered VPN services while ensuring efficient resource utilization. Whether it's Mysterium, EarnApp, PacketStream, Honeygain, or other similar projects, the combination of shared bandwidth and Proxmox virtualization opens up a world of possibilities for users seeking accessible and secure VPN solutions.

Paulhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11459304710362963053noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8928198048296063917.post-746306903569815152024-02-24T07:00:00.000-08:002024-02-24T07:00:00.139-08:00Cracking the Code: Navigating Network Nightmares with Home Assistant, LibreNMS, and Wireshark

Introduction:

Hey there! Unfortunately, Unifi lacks support for secure DNS (neither DoH nor DoT). To address this, I decided to explore the installation of Pi-hole on a Raspberry Pi at home.

However, the standard Pi-Hole install for Raspberry Pi required additional setup steps on my network. Firstly, Pi-hole lacks built-in support for secure DNS, necessitating an additional configuration. Secondly, the default Raspberry Pi lacked VLAN support, prompting me to configure it to function seamlessly within our network.

Raspberry Pi and Pi-hole Setup
I began by installing the Raspberry Pi OS Lite 64-bit on the Raspberry Pi, intending to use it as a headless device on the network. Once the operating system was installed and updated, I proceeded to install Pi-hole. This was a straightforward process, thanks to Pi-hole's automated installation script.

curl -sSL https://install.pi-hole.net | bash

Setting up DNS over HTTPS for Pi-hole
To ensure secure DNS, I followed the instructions on the Pi-hole site to configure cloudflared, allowing DNS requests to be made over HTTPS. Once configured, Pi-hole forwards requests to cloudflared, which handles DNS requests securely.

Enabling Support for Multiple VLANs
While Pi-hole successfully handled requests for the native network, extending its support to other VLANs posed a challenge. Instead of opting for solutions involving firewall rule modifications to permit VLAN requests to the native network, I chose to ensure the Raspberry Pi could seamlessly join the VLAN networks I intended to use Pi-hole on.

Following the instructions on this page for enabling VLAN support on the Raspberry Pi, I configured an interface for each VLAN I wanted the Pi-hole to respond on.

Enabling Firewall Rules
To secure the Raspberry Pi, especially since I had relocated some less trusted devices to certain VLANs, I implemented the following steps:

Firstly, accepting connections on localhost and on eth0 (default network):

sudo ufw allow in on lo

sudo ufw allow in on eth0

Then, accepting DNS connections (applying to all interfaces/VLANs):

sudo ufw allow DNS

By taking these steps, I successfully configured a secure DNS setup for our home network, ensuring the Raspberry Pi and Pi-hole worked seamlessly across multiple VLANs while maintaining robust firewall rules for enhanced security.

Paulhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11459304710362963053noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8928198048296063917.post-54479094571490630512023-09-16T12:15:00.008-07:002023-09-16T12:15:54.214-07:00Revolutionizing Air Quality Monitoring: How I Upgraded Our System with Mila Integration for Smart Home Automation

In this blog post, I explained how I set up an air quality monitoring system for our neighborhood. With this setup, we can keep an eye on the air quality outside our home. However, this monitoring system is somewhat passive because I need to manually check the air quality and take actions accordingly, such as turning on the HVAC fan to filter and circulate the indoor air.

I considered using the standard Home Assistant integration for Purple Air, but it shares the same drawback as the Magic Mirror integration in terms of API usage limitations. I wanted to avoid an integration that might eventually become unreliable due to API quota limits.

Recently, we purchased Mila connected air filters. These filters not only measure the air quality in the rooms where they're installed but also allow you to select a sensor for neighborhood air quality in the Mila application. Within a month of setting up our Purple Air monitor, I was able to choose it as the neighborhood air quality sensor in the Mila application. This feature enables the Mila filters to determine the relative differences in air quality between the indoors and outdoors.

Once the data is in the Mila application, integrating it into Home Assistant is straightforward, with the Mila custom component. Adding the Mila integration to Home Assistant brings in a sensor with this air quality information. This sensor can be used to automate actions based on the outside air quality.

This seems to reduce the concerns about API usage. This integration is likely using the API quota that Mila has set up with PurpleAir. Presumably, they are doing a cloud-to-cloud integration, which can be optimized to minimize API usage.

Paulhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11459304710362963053noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8928198048296063917.post-47278418335016710212023-09-01T08:17:00.000-07:002023-09-01T08:17:09.326-07:00Silencing the Breeze: Upgrading Legion Network Racks for Whisper-Quiet Performance

In our home, we utilize a couple of Legion 18 network racks. These particular 18U network racks are designed to be compact, making them suitable for placement in closets or offices. Additionally, they come equipped with built-in cooling features, specifically two 120mm fans located at the top of the rack.

However, while the built-in cooling is a valuable feature, I couldn't help but notice that the noise generated by the fans can be quite noticeable, particularly in quieter environments. One of the main reasons for this is that the fan speed is fixed; there's only an on/off switch available. Consequently, you can either turn the fans off entirely or run them at their default, relatively loud speed. This limitation led me to seek out replacement fans for the rack.

Stock fans from the Legion 18 network rack

After conducting some research, I decided to opt for the AC Infinity Rack ROOF Fan Kit. This kit includes two 120mm fans that can be connected to a provided fan controller, which, in turn, connects to a power source. The fan controller offers precise control over the fan speed, allowing for quieter operation.

The fans included in this kit come pre-mounted in fan shrouds designed to be attached to the interior of the top of the rack. The same curiosity was sparked by the presence of smoke from the Canadian wildfires. To fulfill this interest, I've been utilizing PurpleAir, a platform that provides insight into the current air quality around our residence. One of the notable features of PurpleAir is its ability for community air quality monitors to share their data with a broader audience.

Upon relocating to this new area and wanting to stay informed about the air quality in our neighborhood, I delved into the data offered by PurpleAir. Unfortunately, the nearest sensor is situated more than a mile away and operates within a different micro-climate, which could influence the accuracy of the air quality measurements.

In my pursuit of obtaining precise air quality information for our house, I explored various outdoor air quality monitors that could seamlessly transmit data to a network accessible to me. Among the options, the PurpleAir Zen Air Quality Monitor stood out as an excellent choice. This sensor is designed to withstand varying weather conditions, capturing air quality metrics and seamlessly transmitting them to our local WiFi network. Notably, being a part of the PurpleAir system, this sensor is set up to automatically share its data with the PurpleAir platform.

As previously mentioned, I've incorporated a MagicMirror to passively display relevant information. My next task involves finding a way to integrate the air quality data into the mirror's interface. Ideally, I'd like to access this data through our local network to avoid incurring unnecessary expenses associated with API usage.Paulhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11459304710362963053noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8928198048296063917.post-76449537168753796642023-08-24T16:00:00.001-07:002023-08-24T16:00:00.147-07:00Unleashing Home Automation Magic: From Zigzagging with SkyConnect to Soaring with Hubitat

In a previous blog entry, I delved into the fascinating realm of leveraging SkyConnect to interconnect my Zigbee devices with my home automation system. While it seemed like a walk in the park to incorporate Zigbee devices into my Home Assistant setup, I'm here to shed light on some rather unfortunate downsides that cropped up during this experiment.

The crux of the issue lay in the somewhat petite antenna housed within the SkyConnect. This pint-sized component led to a rather finicky connection experience with my Zigbee devices. You wouldn't believe the number of times my sensors and switches decided to take an impromptu leave of absence from the Zigbee network. The result? Automation hiccupped, leaving me high and dry without the expected triggers. And on those rare occasions when triggers managed to sneak through, the devices decided to play hard to control.

Now, let's talk about compatibility woes. The SkyConnect supports just Zigbee and Thread protocols. That might not be a deal-breaker, but here's the rub: I've got a fair share of Z-Wave devices I'm not ready to part with. The grand plan was to simplify my smart home's intricate web, and adding yet another system into the mix for handling the Z-Wave network just didn't tickle my fancy. One system to connect the low-powered wireless devices—that was the dream.

But wait, there's more! Compatibility gremlins struck again. A number of devices I attempted to pair with the SkyConnect ended up being flaky, where they periodically dropped off the network. It's like the functionalities were playing a game of hide and seek. Here's the kicker—I yearned for a system where either the company had its act together or a thriving community would come to the rescue, waving magic wands in the form of drivers to unlock those missing functions.

Introducing Hubitat
Now, hold onto your seats, because after some serious deep diving, I stumbled upon a hero in the home automation arena—Hubitat. Picture this: an automation hub that flaunts wireless radios tuned in to not just Zigbee, but also Z-Wave and a bunch of other protocols. Say adios to the single-protocol constraint; Hubitat had my attention.

The Sweet Gains of Hubitat
First on the list of wins is the beefed-up antennas adorning the Hubitat setup. These promised to inject a much-needed dose of reliability into both Zigbee and Z-Wave networks. No more vanishing acts, I hoped!

Mesh It Up with Hubitat Mesh
But wait, there's a twist in the tale. Say hello to the Hubitat Mesh feature—a game changer. Imagine a world where devices connect on one Hubitat and then magically spill over to neighboring hubs on your local network. The result? Extended reach for Zigbee and Z-Wave gadgets. With this, I managed to weave a network that spanned hubs that would usually have sent my devices into a connectivity tizzy.

Tying the Knot with Home Assistant
Oh, did I mention the seamless connectivity between Hubitat and Home Assistant? An integration called hacs-hubitat made this easy to set up! Setting it up within Home Assistant was quite straightforward. With the integration setup, all those Hubitat-connected devices appeared right into my Home Assistant interface, no sweat.

So there you have it, a tale of trials, tribulations, and triumphs, all in the quest to make my smart home smarter. Check back for more escapades as I navigate the ever-evolving landscape of home automation wonders.Paulhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11459304710362963053noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8928198048296063917.post-74719742395196153442023-08-23T19:02:00.001-07:002023-08-23T19:02:23.192-07:00Unveiling the Journey: From Tempest Weather Station to Magic Mirror - A Triumph in Weather Data Integration

Some time back, I shared my experience with the Tempest Weather Station, a fantastic tool that keeps us informed about the weather conditions at our home. This has been remarkably invaluable during the more extreme weather events this summer.

However, it's important to note that having the weather station installed is only half the battle; making the data accessible is what truly enhances its usefulness. A while ago, I implemented a solution in the form of a Magic Mirror – a project I undertook to display various helpful information for our household. The base software for the Magic Mirror incorporates weather data display capabilities, with OpenWeatherMap as the primary weather provider. Nonetheless, we encountered an issue with the data accuracy from this provider, as its temperature readings consistently skewed higher than the actual temperatures at our location.

The built-in weather module does allow for alternative weather providers, leading me on a quest to figure out how to funnel the weather data from our Tempest Weather station to one of these providers for display on the mirror. The Tempest Weather station supports data export to Weather Underground in the stock setup. However, the built-in weather module lacked the capability to interpret data from Weather Underground.

Discovering WeeWX
Since the stock weather module already integrated support for OpenWeatherMap, I decided to send the Tempest's weather data to OpenWeatherMap. However, given that this functionality wasn't native to the Tempest, I stumbled upon WeeWX – a project designed to collect data from various weather stations and present it on a customizable dashboard. Additionally, WeeWx offered the functionality to export data to local and cloud-based weather providers.

Despite WeeWx's broad compatibility with different weather stations, it didn't inherently support the Tempest Weather Station. But, taking advantage of WeeWX's plugin architecture, a solution emerged through the creation of the weatherflow-udp plugin. This clever plugin intercepted the UDP packets transmitted by the Tempest, effectively capturing and recording the data.

Once I successfully integrated the Tempest data into WeeWx, the next challenge was to export this data to OpenWeatherMap. Given that direct support wasn't available, my search led me to the weewx-owm plugin, facilitating weather data export to OpenWeatherMap. After setting up the plugin, I was able to transfer the weather data to OpenWeatherMap.

An Unexpected Glitch
Regrettably, the outcome fell short of my expectations. Despite the successful export, I encountered a hurdle when integrating this newly acquired weather station data into the default Magic Mirror weather module. Unlike choosing a specific weather station, the default module required selecting a city. This posed an issue, as multiple weather stations were registered within our city on OpenWeatherMap, leading to data from other stations displaying on our Magic Mirror.

Weather Data via MQTT
In my determination to resolve this, I delved into alternate methods to showcase our local weather station's data on the Magic Mirror. That's when I stumbled upon the MMM-CurrentWeather-MQTT plugin, an offshoot of the standard weather module that introduced the ability to override OpenWeatherMap data with locally sourced data from an MQTT server.

Taking advantage of a Raspberry Pi on our network that was already hosting an MQTT server, I saw an opportunity to utilize it for storing and delivering local weather data. Fortunately, the weewx-mqtt plugin seamlessly bridged the gap by allowing the imported weather data from the station to be sent to the MQTT server.

Once I had all the necessary MQTT plugins integrated into both WeeWX and Magic Mirror, the result was a triumphant display of our local weather data from the Tempest Weather Station on our Magic Mirror.Paulhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11459304710362963053noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8928198048296063917.post-64788397248086852172023-05-29T08:00:00.001-07:002023-05-29T08:00:00.130-07:00Mastering the Upgrade: Overcoming Challenges in Replacing Light Switches in Our Century-Old Home

Over the past few days, I've been immersed in the task of replacing the light switches in our century-old house with Lutron light switches and dimmers. As mentioned in a previous post, this endeavor has not been without its hurdles due to the house's age and multiple previous owners. In this article, I will outline the problems I encountered during the installation process and share the solutions I discovered.
Dealing with 3-Way Lights

In certain areas of our home, such as stairways or hallways, we have light switches located at both ends to provide convenience and ensure visibility while moving about. Although Lutron supports 3-way switch setups, there are a few important considerations to keep in mind.

Load-Managing Switch

Lutron's instructions for configuring 3-way switches assume a direct connection between the Lutron switch or dimmer and the load. When working on an installation where the circuit's wiring is uncertain, it becomes crucial to test the wiring during the installation process.

To tackle this, I removed the switches from the wall and used a voltage tester to determine which switch was linked to the power source and which one was directly connected to the load. Armed with this knowledge, I followed Lutron's instructions and replaced the switch that was directly connected to the load, successfully following the provided directions.

Identifying Traveler Wires

Our house's electrician employed traveler wires of the same color for the 3-way switches. This posed a challenge when it came to replacing one of the switches with a Lutron light switch or dimmer because Lutron's instructions specify the need to identify the traveler wire that connects to the blue wire of the Lutron switch.

Fortunately, I managed to overcome this obstacle by utilizing a wire tracer. This handy tool allowed me to identify each of the traveler wires, greatly simplifying the installation process. Once the traveler wires were identified, I was able to proceed with confidence, adhering to Lutron's instructions.

Dealing with Missing Neutral Wires

Given our house's age, not all of the light switch wire boxes contained neutral wires. This isn't an issue for Lutron Diva Dimmer switches, but it does pose a challenge when it comes to the Lutron Claro Smart Switch, which requires a neutral wire.

To address this, I am currently experimenting with alternative smart switches that do not require a neutral wire. Rest assured, I will keep you updated on my experiences and findings regarding these switches.

Conclusion

As I embarked on the journey of replacing light switches in our century-old house, I encountered a series of challenges. Through careful testing, wire tracing, and exploring alternative solutions, I managed to overcome these obstacles. Upgrading to Lutron light switches and dimmers has certainly been a rewarding endeavor, enhancing both the functionality and aesthetics of our home.
Paulhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11459304710362963053noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8928198048296063917.post-62819123495912551722023-05-25T08:00:00.001-07:002023-05-25T08:00:00.143-07:00Lighting the Way: Discover the Reliability and Versatility of Lutron Caseta for Your Smart Home Ambiance

Today, we're shining a light on Lutron Caseta, an exceptional lighting control system that combines reliability and versatility to elevate your home's ambiance. The platform was founded in 2014 by Halsey Minor, the co-founder of CNET. It was initially launched as Bitreserve but later rebranded to Uphold.

One of the popular use cases for Uphold is through its integration with Brave, a privacy-focused web browser. With Brave, users can opt-in to view ads and get rewarded with Basic Attention Tokens (BAT). These tokens can be used to tip content creators or traded on Uphold for other cryptocurrencies or fiat currencies. Uphold is just one of the wallets available for Brave users to store and exchange their BAT rewards.

But Uphold is more than just a wallet for Brave rewards. It is a comprehensive platform that offers a plethora of financial services. For starters, Uphold supports over 50 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Ripple. Users can easily buy, sell, and exchange these digital assets with just a few clicks. Additionally, the platform supports fiat currencies like the US dollar, the euro, and the British pound.

One of the standout features of Uphold is its ability to enable users to invest in traditional assets like commodities. This is made possible through the platform's partnership with financial institutions and third-party brokers. Users can invest in their favorite metals like gold, silver or platinum. This makes Uphold a one-stop shop for all your investment needs.

Uphold takes security seriously and employs various measures to ensure the safety of user funds. The platform uses industry-standard encryption and two-factor authentication to protect user accounts. Additionally, Uphold stores the majority of user funds in cold storage, which is not connected to the internet and therefore less vulnerable to hacking.

If you are interested in trying Uphold, the platform is currently offering a special promotion. With this promo link, if you deposit and trade $250 worth of coins, you can earn $20 worth of Bitcoin. This is a great way to try out the platform and experience all the features it has to offer.

In conclusion, Uphold is an excellent platform for anyone looking to buy, sell, or exchange cryptocurrencies, and commodities. Its integration with Brave makes it easy for users to manage their BAT rewards. With its robust security measures and extensive range of financial services, Uphold is a platform worth checking out.
Paulhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11459304710362963053noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8928198048296063917.post-75414171006385631432023-05-02T10:00:00.001-07:002023-05-02T10:00:00.143-07:00Revolutionizing Visual Content Creation: How Canva's Capabilities Are Changing the Game

Are you tired of shelling out big bucks for image editing, graphic design, and document layout software? Luckily, Tesla has released a CCS adapter that enables newer Tesla vehicle owners to use CCS charging stations.

In addition to Tesla's adapter, several other companies have also released adapters that have the same capabilities, but with slightly lower prices. For example, the HANSSHOW CCS Charger Adapter, available on Amazon, has the same capabilities as the Tesla adapter but is available for a lower price.

The CCS adapters are compatible with Tesla cars with CCS enabled, including all Model Y, Model 3, Model S, and Model X cars produced after October 2021. The adapters provide Tesla owners access to a growing network of CCS charging stations, which are increasingly common in North America.

Perhaps the biggest advantage of the CCS adapters is that it grants Tesla owners access to charging stations from other networks, such as Electrify America and EVgo. This means that Tesla owners have more options when it comes to charging their vehicles, and can more easily take long road trips without any range anxiety.

Additionally, the CCS adapters are incredibly easy to use. Just plug it into the CCS charging port at the charging station, then plug the other end into your Tesla vehicle's charging port. The adapters are designed to work in conjunction with your Tesla's onboard charging system, so you don't have to worry about compatibility issues.

Moreover, the CCS adapters provide Tesla owners with faster charging speeds. CCS charging stations can offer charging speeds of up to 250 kW. This translates to fast charging times for your Tesla vehicle at a CCS charging station.

In conclusion, CCS adapters are a fantastic investment for Tesla owners seeking to take advantage of North America's fast-growing CCS charging network. The adapters are user-friendly, work seamlessly with your Tesla's onboard charging system, and offer faster charging speeds. If you're a Tesla owner who frequents road trips, it's definitely worth considering the CCS adapters.

Paulhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11459304710362963053noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8928198048296063917.post-75494693880381923592023-04-26T10:00:00.000-07:002023-04-26T10:00:00.136-07:001Password Review: The Ultimate Password Manager with Multi-Platform Support, Strong Security Features, and User-Friendly Interface

The recent LastPass data leak has caused a bit of a panic in the online world, with users scrambling to find an alternative that can provide the same level of security and convenience. Password managers have become increasingly popular in recent years, with users embracing them as a way to generate secure passwords and manage them more effectively. After a thorough search, I came across 1Password – a password manager that supports Windows, Chrome, and Android devices and is highly secure and user-friendly. In this post, I’ll be sharing my review of 1Password, and discussing the features that make it stand out from the competition.

Multi-Platform Support

One key feature that sets 1Password apart from other password managers is its multi-platform support. It can be used on Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android devices, making it a great option for both personal and professional use. The app also synchronizes across all devices, so you can access your passwords and secure information from anywhere. This is particularly useful for users who work remotely or travel frequently and need access to their passwords on the go.

Strong Security Features

Security is obviously a top priority when it comes to password managers, and 1Password doesn't disappoint. It offers a variety of security features, including end-to-end encryption, secure storage, and two-factor authentication. The 1Password app also comes with a built-in password generator, which creates complex and unique passwords that are difficult to guess or hack. This feature is especially important given the prevalence of password-cracking tools that cybercriminals use to gain access to personal information.

User-Friendly Interface

Another feature that I appreciate about 1Password is its user-friendly interface. The app is easy to navigate, and the various functions are well-organized, making finding and retrieving passwords simple. You can also save other types of personal information, such as credit card numbers or passport details, which can be handy when filling out forms or making purchases online. The 1Password extension for Chrome is also easy to use and integrates seamlessly with other Chrome tools.

Customer Support

When it comes to software and technology tools, customer support can be a make-or-break factor for many users. Fortunately, 1Password offers comprehensive customer support, with a dedicated team available to assist with any issues or questions that may arise. The company also provides detailed resources, such as user manuals and video tutorials, to help users get the most out of their software.

Conclusion

Overall, I am impressed with 1Password and feel confident recommending it as an excellent option for anyone looking for a reliable password manager that offers multi-platform support, strong security features, a user-friendly interface, and responsive customer support. With the growing dangers of cybersecurity threats and the increasing importance of managing passwords securely, investing in a top-notch tool like 1Password is a wise choice for anyone who values online security and privacy.
Paulhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11459304710362963053noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8928198048296063917.post-48714116004822218262023-04-25T10:00:00.003-07:002023-04-25T10:00:00.142-07:00Secure Your Retirement with Acorns: The Easy and Automated Investment App for Novice Investors

Saving and investing for retirement can seem daunting, especially for those who are new to the investing world. Tesla cars are known for their exceptional performance, sleek design, and innovative features. If you're a Tesla Model 3 or Y user, you're well aware of how impressive this car is, from its ability to drive long distances on a single charge to its high-tech features.

However, as with any car, there may be some things that you wish were different. One common issue amongst Model 3 users is the overall polish of the car not being the same as that of the Model S. Fortunately, we've discovered a solution that can enhance the look of your Model 3 and give it that extra pop you've been looking for. Enter Scent Wedge's Walnut Overlay.

Scent Wedge's Walnut Overlay is a must-have accessory for any Tesla Model 3 owner who wants to make their car stand out. Made from real American walnut wood, this overlay is laser-cut to fit perfectly onto the Model 3's center console. The installation is quick and easy, so you won't have to spend hours fumbling around trying to get it on your console.

Not only does the Walnut Overlay give your car a more finished look, but it also provides a sense of luxury that you won't find with the standard interior. The wood grain finish is stunning and incredibly durable, ensuring that your overlay will not fade, peel or crack over time. Plus, it complements the futuristic design of the Model 3 with its classic aesthetic.

Another thing that we appreciate about the Walnut Overlay is that it adds an extra layer of protection to your car. The center console can be a high-traffic area where scratches and scuff marks can easily occur. However, the Overlay's tough exterior ensures it can withstand the wear and tear of daily use.

One thing to note is that the Walnut Overlay is an aesthetic accessory only and will not add any functions to your car. It does not impact the performance or battery life of your Tesla Model 3, but it will enhance the overall appearance and feel of the interior. It's a small detail that makes a big difference.

Overall, we highly recommend Scent Wedge's Walnut Overlay to any Tesla Model 3 or Y owner who wants to take their car to the next level. The Overlay is easy to install, durable, and adds a beautiful finishing touch to your car's interior. It's a product that we're confident you'll love as much as we do. With this simple and elegant addition, you'll transform the look of your Tesla Model 3 pr Y from ordinary to extraordinary. So go ahead, treat yourself to an upgrade, and enjoy the luxury of a Tesla with the added touch of natural wood grain.

Paulhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11459304710362963053noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8928198048296063917.post-37329308638807654642023-04-21T12:00:00.011-07:002023-04-21T12:00:00.160-07:00Protect Your Raspberry Pi 4 with Style and Functionality: A Comprehensive Review of Cooler Master's PI CASE 40

I have a project where I need to set up a Raspberry Pi, as an OpenVPN server, to allow remote access. One of the biggest challenges is figuring out how to fit all your furniture into your new space. Fortunately, an Android app can help make this process a lot easier: Magicplan.

Magicplan is a user-friendly app that allows you to create floor plans and take measurements of a room using just your smartphone or tablet. With Magic Plan, you don't need any special equipment or a degree in architecture to create a floor plan that accurately represents your space.

Using Magic Plan is simple. All you have to do is point the camera around the room you want to measure. The app uses AR technology to measure the dimensions and create accurate 2D & 3D floor plans of the space. You can then add doors, windows, and other features to the floor plan, as well as add notes and measurements to help you remember important details.

One of the best things about Magicplan is that it allows you to easily visualize how your furniture will fit in the room. You can add furniture to the floor plan from the app's library of pre-made items or by creating custom pieces. This feature can be incredibly helpful when deciding which house to buy or which furniture to keep when you move.

Magicplan has a wide range of features that can make your life easier. For example, you can export your floor plan as a PDF or an image, making it easy to share with others. You can also use the app to create 3D models of your space, which can be helpful for interior design projects.

Overall, Magicplan is an incredibly useful app for anyone who's planning to move or who's involved in home design and renovation projects. It's easy to use, accurate and has a wide range of features that can help you create the perfect space for your needs. If you're in the market for a new home or you're planning a renovation project, be sure to give Magicplan a try.
Paulhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11459304710362963053noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8928198048296063917.post-90347060981481617662023-03-16T06:00:00.001-07:002023-03-16T06:00:00.168-07:00Secure and Connected On-The-Go: The TP-Link AC750 Wireless Portable Nano Travel Router

Staying connected while traveling can be a hassle, especially when relying on public Wi-Fi networks that are often slow and unreliable.
