		<description>&lt;p&gt;Now that Google supports SyncML, is SpanningSync still necessary? (I realize it is probably more convenient). My wife is going with the Google Calendar over the web on her iPhone as well as the moment.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It looks as though some people did hack up an iCal-&gt;iPhone sync on Linux , but it is a bit hackish: https://launchpad.net/ical2sqlite&lt;/p&gt;
