&lt;p&gt;I am using smb, but I haven&#039;t had any problems with stability when I have the drive mounted.&lt;/p&gt;

		<description>&lt;p&gt;They might be sold with the most current version of the firmware now, but when I got mine a few months ago there was a bug that prevented large files (2GB or 4GB can&#039;t remember) which made backing up a FileVault impossible.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Also, I&#039;d like to know if you use it with SMB connection if you have any problems with stability. Mine seems to bring OS X to a crawl and eventually stalls Finder so bad even a Force Quit doesn&#039;t work.&lt;/p&gt;
